Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recto: A Study Of A Young Architect Holding A Scroll And A Separate Study Of Another Head; Verso: A Three Quarter Length Study For The Same Figure by Ottavio Vannini was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 37,000.00 (€ 24,930.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ottavio Vannini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Joseph And His Brothers in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 181,250.00 (€ 217,932.70).

Die Arbeit Recto: A Study Of A Young Architect Holding A Scroll And A Separate Study Of Another Head; Verso: A Three Quarter Length Study For The Same Figure von Ottavio Vannini wurde im Januar 2008 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 24.930,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ottavio Vannini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Joseph And His Brothers im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 181.250,00 (€ 217.932,70).
