Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Che Guevara 1964 by Osvaldo Salas was auctioned at Il Ponte in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 650.00 – 950.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Osvaldo Salas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Che Guevara, which sold at auction in November 2015 for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,424.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Che Guevara 1964 von Osvaldo Salas im Dezember 2019 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 650,00 – 950,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 600,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Osvaldo Salas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Che Guevara beobachtet, die im November 2015 für GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.424,35) versteigert wurde.
