Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Weekday in Montmartre by Oscar Rabin was sold in the Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online auction at Sothebys in London in September 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,592.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Rabin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 337,000.00 (€ 216,469.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Weekday in Montmartre von Oscar Rabin wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.592,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Rabin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 337.000,00 (€ 216.469,68).
