Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Chicken in the Suburbs by Oscar Rabin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 42,081.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Oscar Rabin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 337,000.00 (€ 216,469.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chicken in the Suburbs von Oscar Rabin kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 42.081,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oscar Rabin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 337.000,00 (€ 216.469,68).
