Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Pool Day by Osinachi was auctioned at Christies in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,618.25). Other works by Osinachi have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2021 by the work Man in a Pool III at GBP 50,000.00 (€ 59,236.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Pool Day von Osinachi im Oktober 2021 bei Christies versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.618,25) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Osinachi wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2021 die Arbeit Man in a Pool III mit GBP 50.000,00 (€ 59.236,50).
