Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Rebel spiritsNon-conformist art from Important European collections, which included the work Deux œuvres: une nature morte et un paysage/ Two works: a still-life and a landscape one: 31.5 x 24cm (12 3/8 x 9 7/16in).; the other: 24 x 32cm (9 7/16in x 12 5/8in). (2) by Oscar Rabin. The price achieved of EUR 2,550.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Rabin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 337,000.00 (€ 216,469.68).

Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Rebel spiritsNon-conformist art from Important European collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deux œuvres: une nature morte et un paysage/ Two works: a still-life and a landscape one: 31.5 x 24cm (12 3/8 x 9 7/16in).; the other: 24 x 32cm (9 7/16in x 12 5/8in). (2) von Oscar Rabin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.550,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Rabin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 337.000,00 (€ 216.469,68).
