The price achieved of EUR 60,855.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oscar Rabin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 337,000.00 (€ 216,469.68).
