Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Abstraction by Oscar Cahén. The price achieved of CAD 20,400.00 (€ 14,866.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by Oscar Cahén have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work without title was auctioned for CAD 30,000.00 (€ 22,414.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstraction von Oscar Cahén zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 20.400,00 (€ 14.866,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Oscar Cahén konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2010 die Arbeit ohne Titel für CAD 30.000,00 (€ 22.414,85) versteigert.
