Despite a disappointment, a good price for Oscar Bluhm
This work of art by Oscar Bluhm could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction, the work Elegant society changed hands for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,042.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Elegant society is the most expensive artwork by Oscar Bluhm that we have observed at auction so far.
