Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2001 Christies in Milan held the auction ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA, which included the work Celebrazione by Orfeo Tamburi. The price achieved of ITL 3,675,000.00 (€ 3,477.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as ITL 3,000,000.00 – 4,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Orfeo Tamburi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Motivo a Montparnasse in May 2001 with an auction result of ITL 14,700,000.00 (€ 13,908.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2001 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA durch, in der auch die Arbeit Celebrazione von Orfeo Tamburi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von ITL 3.675.000,00 (€ 3.477,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit ITL 3.000.000,00 – 4.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Orfeo Tamburi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Motivo a Montparnasse im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 14.700.000,00 (€ 13.908,93).
