Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arco di Costantino by Orfeo Tamburi was sold in the Arte del XX secolo auction at Christies in Milan in May 2000. The price achieved of ITL 1,292,500.00 (€ 1,108.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as ITL 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Orfeo Tamburi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Motivo a Montparnasse in May 2001 with an auction result of ITL 14,700,000.00 (€ 13,908.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Arco di Costantino von Orfeo Tamburi wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion Arte del XX secolo bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von ITL 1.292.500,00 (€ 1.108,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit ITL 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Orfeo Tamburi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Motivo a Montparnasse im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 14.700.000,00 (€ 13.908,93).
