Auction result well in line with expectations
The work End of Harvest by Oresegun Olumide was sold in the Modern and Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,971.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oresegun Olumide - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Today's Story, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,950.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit End of Harvest von Oresegun Olumide wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.971,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Oresegun Olumide mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Today's Story beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.950,97) versteigert wurde.
