In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day, which included the work The Madonna in prayer by Onorio Marinari. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,035.81), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Onorio Marinari have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kleopatra in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 148,800.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna in prayer von Onorio Marinari zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.035,81) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Onorio Marinari auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kleopatra im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 148.800,00.
