A top price for Ono Bakufu - as previously expected
In June 2017 Christies in London held the auction From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online, which included the work The Complete Set: Great Japanese Fish Picture Collection, Vol.3 by Ono Bakufu. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,694.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Complete Set: Great Japanese Fish Picture Collection, Vol.3 is the most expensive artwork by Ono Bakufu that we have observed at auctions so far.
