Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Omar El-Nagdi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November this year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction, the work Alef Lam Mim sold for GBP 121,050.00 (€ 140,270.63) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Omar El-Nagdi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Le Grand Cavalier sold at auction in November this year with the realized price of GBP 216,300.00 (€ 250,644.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Omar El-Nagdi erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art wurde die Arbeit Alef Lam Mim für GBP 121.050,00 (€ 140.270,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Omar El-Nagdi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Le Grand Cavalier im November diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 216.300,00 (€ 250.644,66).
