This artwork by Okwoju El Dragg achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2020. In the Modern & Contemporary African Art Online sale auction, the work Blossom on the Horizon sold for GBP 9,562.50 (€ 10,674.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Okwoju El Dragg; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dancers sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,732.97).
