In March 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries, which included the work Skaters on a frozen canal near the Munttoren, Amsterdam by Oene Romkes de Jongh. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,625.00. Other works by Oene Romkes de Jongh have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 10,450.00 in April 2008 for the work Dutch Figures On A Frozen Canal In A Dutch Town.

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer.
