The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,000.00 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oene Romkes de Jongh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch Figures On A Frozen Canal In A Dutch Town, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 10,450.00.

Die Arbeit Daily activities around the Haringpakkerstoren von Oene Romkes de Jongh wurde im Januar 2005 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.000,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Oene Romkes de Jongh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch Figures On A Frozen Canal In A Dutch Town beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 10.450,00 versteigert wurde.
