It achieved a price of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,114.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Wilkinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Canadian Pacific liner Empress of Canada lying in Hong Kong harbour in April last year with an auction result of GBP 35,580.00 (€ 42,427.89).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.114,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Wilkinson erzielen.
