In April 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Paintings, which included the work Interior With A Man And A Woman Smoking by Norbert van Bloemen. The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,504.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norbert van Bloemen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peasants Playing Cards In A Grotto, Ancient Ruins Beyond, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 9,850.00.

Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & Early British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior With A Man And A Woman Smoking von Norbert van Bloemen zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.504,69) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Norbert van Bloemen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peasants Playing Cards In A Grotto, Ancient Ruins Beyond beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 9.850,00 versteigert wurde.
