Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Minarets in Algiers by Noel Harry Leaver for USD 7,200.00 (€ 6,002.50). This price was achieved in the auction Orientalist Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Noel Harry Leaver have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2000 by the work An ancient Arab city at GBP 5,520.00 (€ 9,033.04).
