Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Orientalist Art, which included the work A Middle-Eastern Town by Noel Harry Leaver. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,653.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Noel Harry Leaver have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2000 the work An ancient Arab city was auctioned for GBP 5,520.00 (€ 9,033.04).

Im April 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Middle-Eastern Town von Noel Harry Leaver zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.653,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Noel Harry Leaver konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2000 die Arbeit An ancient Arab city für GBP 5.520,00 (€ 9.033,04) versteigert.
