Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Woman, Said To Be Geneviève Lorry, Dressed As A Savoyarde, Holding An Infant In A Crib, Sitting In A Courtyard, Together With A Begging Dog by Noël Hallé was sold in the Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,578.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Noël Hallé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scilurus, Roi Des Scythes, Faisant Rassembler Ses Enfants in March 2014 with an auction result of EUR 107,200.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Woman, Said To Be Geneviève Lorry, Dressed As A Savoyarde, Holding An Infant In A Crib, Sitting In A Courtyard, Together With A Begging Dog von Noël Hallé wurde im Januar 2020 in der Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.578,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Noël Hallé erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scilurus, Roi Des Scythes, Faisant Rassembler Ses Enfants im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 107.200,00.
