Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Lady entertaining a child of a Savoyard woman with a pinwheel by Noël Hallé was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,872.90). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Noël Hallé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scilurus, Roi Des Scythes, Faisant Rassembler Ses Enfants in March 2014 with an auction result of EUR 107,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Lady entertaining a child of a Savoyard woman with a pinwheel von Noël Hallé im Januar 2012 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.872,90) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Noël Hallé erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scilurus, Roi Des Scythes, Faisant Rassembler Ses Enfants im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 107.200,00.
