Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Niro Yokota could be acquired at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work By the River changed hands for HKD 5,100.00 (€ 546.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Niro Yokota have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boats at Sea in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 20,400.00 (€ 2,184.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Niro Yokota konnte im April 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit By the River für HKD 5.100,00 (€ 546,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Niro Yokota auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boats at Sea im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 20.400,00 (€ 2.184,14).
