Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 40,765.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nikolaos Lytras - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greekportrait Of The Painter Gerassimos Dialismas, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 90,000.00 (€ 132,441.09).
