Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The palette of the artist by Nikolaos Gyzis was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Bonhams in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 35,164.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikolaos Gyzis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bestrafung eines Hühnerdiebs in Smyrna/ Punition d'un voleur de poulet à Smyrna in May this year with an auction result of EUR 466,575.00.

Die Arbeit The palette of the artist von Nikolaos Gyzis wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 35.164,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nikolaos Gyzis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bestrafung eines Hühnerdiebs in Smyrna/ Punition d'un voleur de poulet à Smyrna im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 466.575,00.
