Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pink Doll by Nikolai Smirnov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2020. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,506.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikolai Smirnov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grandmother'S Love Songs in November 2014 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 62,863.80).
