Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Portraits Of Sergei Yutkevich by Nikolai Pavlovich Akimov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 4,243.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nikolai Pavlovich Akimov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian Pair Of Stage Designs For The Bat, 1948, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,241.01).
