The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,479.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nikolai Egorovich Makovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Street In Cairo in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 45,000.00 (€ 63,449.44).
