The work Rotten Again by Nigel Cooke was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2020. The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,451.03), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nigel Cooke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stumpy'S Night in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 262,000.00 (€ 238,311.81).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Rotten Again von Nigel Cooke kam im April 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.451,03) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nigel Cooke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stumpy'S Night im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 262.000,00 (€ 238.311,81).
