Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Venus And The Three Graces Tending Cupid by Nicolas Vleughels. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,158.88), 19% above the upper estimate. Other works by Nicolas Vleughels have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 34,870.20) in July 2017 for the work The Presentation in the Temple.
