A top price for Nicolas Neufchatel - as previously expected
The work Portrait of Valentin Kötzler (1499-1564), half-length, in a fur lined black gown and a black hat by Nicolas Neufchatel was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. The auction ended at the price of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 111,542.38), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of Valentin Kötzler (1499-1564), half-length, in a fur lined black gown and a black hat is the most expensive artwork by Nicolas Neufchatel that we have observed at auctions so far.
