Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2000 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Drawings at CSK, which included the work An extensive river landscape with figures in a ferry by Nicolaas Wicart. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 446.50 (€ 764.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolaas Wicart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Village Of Hael On The River Waal, With Boatmen At A Landing Station, which sold at auction in November 2004 for EUR 1,792.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Drawings at CSK durch, in der auch die Arbeit An extensive river landscape with figures in a ferry von Nicolaas Wicart zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 446,50 (€ 764,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas Wicart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Village Of Hael On The River Waal, With Boatmen At A Landing Station beobachtet, die im November 2004 für EUR 1.792,50 versteigert wurde.
