Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peonies, carnations, morning glory, a Semper Augustus tulip and other flowers in a glass vase, with a snail, a butterfly, a dragonfly and other insects on a partially-draped ledge by Nicolaes van Verendael was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,558.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicolaes van Verendael have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blumenstrauß mit Rosen, Tulpe, Hibiskus und Brombeeren in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 362,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Peonies, carnations, morning glory, a Semper Augustus tulip and other flowers in a glass vase, with a snail, a butterfly, a dragonfly and other insects on a partially-draped ledge von Nicolaes van Verendael wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.558,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolaes van Verendael auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blumenstrauß mit Rosen, Tulpe, Hibiskus und Brombeeren im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 362.500,00.
