A top price for Nicolaes van Helt - as previously expected
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Venus And Adonis by Nicolaes van Helt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 252,000.00 (€ 206,659.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Venus And Adonis is the most expensive artwork by Nicolaes van Helt that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venus And Adonis von Nicolaes van Helt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 206.659,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Venus And Adonis das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nicolaes van Helt, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
