Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Pictures and Drawings, which included the work Glaucus fleeing from Skylla, the Goddess Diana looking down from above by Nicola Vaccaro. The price achieved of EUR 7,450.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicola Vaccaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Una Fanciulla Raccoglie Frutti In Un Orto, Porgendoli A Una Bimba, Con Due Putti in June 2005 with an auction result of EUR 104,160.00.

Im November 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Pictures and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Glaucus fleeing from Skylla, the Goddess Diana looking down from above von Nicola Vaccaro zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.450,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicola Vaccaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Una Fanciulla Raccoglie Frutti In Un Orto, Porgendoli A Una Bimba, Con Due Putti im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 104.160,00.
