It achieved a price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,512.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nico Cevat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landwinning Noord met in de verte de Ruijterkade en Prins Hendrikkade, which sold at auction in October 2003 for EUR 9,799.00.

Die Arbeit Still life with tankard von Nico Cevat wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.512,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Nico Cevat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landwinning Noord met in de verte de Ruijterkade en Prins Hendrikkade beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für EUR 9.799,00 versteigert wurde.
