Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3, which included the work Paradise Cake by Nicky Hoberman. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,286.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicky Hoberman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Froth in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,500.00 (€ 33,291.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paradise Cake von Nicky Hoberman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.286,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicky Hoberman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Froth im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.500,00 (€ 33.291,34).
