Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Frida Kahlo on Bench by Nickolas Muray. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,318.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nickolas Muray - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images Including Portraits Of Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera And Miguel Covarrubias, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,247.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Frida Kahlo on Bench von Nickolas Muray zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.318,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nickolas Muray mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images Including Portraits Of Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera And Miguel Covarrubias beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.247,21) versteigert wurde.
