Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Middle White Pig: Alice by Nick Bibby for GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,905.82). This price was achieved in the auction Three Private Collections: Belgravia, Berkshire and Guernsey at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nick Bibby - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bronze Barn Owl, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,638.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Middle White Pig: Alice von Nick Bibby für GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.905,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Three Private Collections: Belgravia, Berkshire and Guernsey bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nick Bibby mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bronze Barn Owl beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.638,46) versteigert wurde.
