The work Dude by Nicholas Monro was worth GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,462.17) to a buyer in November 2005. This price was achieved in the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 600.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nicholas Monro; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dude sold at auction in February 2008 with the realized price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,627.18).
