Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures & Drawings, which included the work Studies of nine butterflies and moths; and Studies of five beetles by Nicolas Struyk. The result of GBP 600.00 (€ 870.87) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Nicolas Struyk have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Studies Of Six Butterflies in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,999.36).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures & Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Studies of nine butterflies and moths; and Studies of five beetles von Nicolas Struyk zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 600,00 (€ 870,87) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolas Struyk auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Studies Of Six Butterflies im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.999,36).
