Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2002 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work The Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John the Baptist by Niccolò Tornioli. The price achieved of USD 23,900.00 (€ 24,187.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Niccolò Tornioli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Concert, which sold at auction in June last year for USD 55,000.00 (€ 52,536.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John the Baptist von Niccolò Tornioli zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.900,00 (€ 24.187,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Niccolò Tornioli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Concert beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für USD 55.000,00 (€ 52.536,06) versteigert wurde.
