Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Madonna And Child With Two Angels by Niccolò di Ser Sozzo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 45,000.00 (€ 32,810.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Niccolò di Ser Sozzo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Crucifixion With The Virgin Mary And Saint John The Evangelist in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 185,000.00 (€ 219,820.02).
