Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work The Madonna And St. John The Evangelist Lamenting Over The Risen Christ by Niccolò di Pietro Gerini. The price achieved of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 154,569.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Niccolò di Pietro Gerini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scenes From The Passion Of Christ: Peter Protesting At Christ Washing The Feet Of The Disciples; The Betrayal Of Christ In The Garden Of Gethsemane (Or The Kiss Of Judas); The Mocking Of Christ; The Flagellation in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,363,080.20).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 154.569,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden.
