Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Saint Dorothy With A Basket Of Fruits And Flowers And A Palm by Niccolò de Simone was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,500.00 (€ 5,310.26). Admittedly, works by Niccolò de Simone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Salomone adora gli idoli in June 2003 with an auction result of EUR 49,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Saint Dorothy With A Basket Of Fruits And Flowers And A Palm von Niccolò de Simone im April 2013 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.500,00 (€ 5.310,26) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Niccolò de Simone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Salomone adora gli idoli im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.600,00.
