A top price for Niccoló Boldrini - as previously expected
The work Caricature of the Laocoön by Niccoló Boldrini was sold in the Old Master Prints auction at Christies in New York in January 2019. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,182.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Caricature of the Laocoön is the most expensive artwork by Niccoló Boldrini that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Caricature of the Laocoön von Niccoló Boldrini wurde im Januar 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.182,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Caricature of the Laocoön das teuerste Kunstwerk von Niccoló Boldrini, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
