A top price for Nicasius Bernaerts - as previously expected
The work Lionne couchée by Nicasius Bernaerts was auctioned at Christies in Paris in September 2020. The price achieved of EUR 37,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Lionne couchée is the most expensive artwork by Nicasius Bernaerts that we have observed at auctions so far.
