Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Market Scene Under The Great Banyan by Nguyen Tri Minh. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 31,250.00 (€ 3,557.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nguyen Tri Minh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maison Avec Arbre Rouge (House With Red Tree), which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,956.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Market Scene Under The Great Banyan von Nguyen Tri Minh zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 31.250,00 (€ 3.557,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Tri Minh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maison Avec Arbre Rouge (House With Red Tree) beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.956,34) versteigert wurde.
